I think we can all agree that 2020 has been as challenging a year as most of us have ever experienced. No one could have ever anticipated having to fight through a worldwide pandemic that threatened both lives and livelihoods.
Moreover, there aren’t many silver linings to speak of—especially for those who have lost loved ones. However, what has impressed me most is the confidence that our imaging industry has shown to once again fight the good fight.
I’ve spoken with many imaging retailers over the past few months; most of you have faced the crisis head on. We’ve lost some storefronts along the way, but most were able to figure out a way to stay strong and stay in business. And that is a testament to the work ethic that we’ve always had in this industry.
Our 2020 State of the Industry report in this issue speaks to the professionalism and confidence that you all have displayed during the last six months. Further, we thank our contributors for trying to make sense of the challenges as we stand together as an industry.
Ready to Turn the Page
I’m sure we’re all looking at the calendar, waiting to turn the page on 2020 and see a renewed and bright future for 2021 and beyond.
