Los Angeles, CA—The annual Lucie Awards gala returns to New York City to celebrate photography with a stellar lineup of honorees. The event will also reveal the fourth annual Impact Award recipient. The 19th Lucie Awards’ red carpet gala ceremony will take place at New York’s renowned Zankel Hall in Carnegie Hall on October 25, 2022.
The Lucie Foundation, along with its advisory board, also announced its list of 12 honorees.
“Each year, the Lucie Awards honor the best in our field. Returning to New York City will have extra meaning this year. We are proud to bestow Lucie Awards on 12 beyond-deserving photographers for their extraordinary work—and one more to be announced,” said Hossein Farmani, founder of the Lucie Awards.
“This year, Robert Adams is the recipient of this year’s 2022 Lifetime Achievement Award. At a later date, we will announce the honoree deserving of this year’s Lucie Impact Award; it was created to acknowledge the impact of a photograph or a body of work in a given year.
“We look forward to celebrating these extraordinary lives as well as careers on October 25, at Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall, which is the Lucie Foundation’s New York home each October.”

In addition, the Impact Award is given to a photographer whose image or body of work has created a difference in a given year. The Lucie Foundation will announce the recipient of this year’s award in September. 
International Photography Awards & Support Awards
At the gala, the International Photography Awards will also announce the winners of the IPA Photographer of the Year and the IPA Discovery of the Year. IPA is a global competition and sister effort of the Lucie Awards.
In addition, the Lucie Awards also honor the year’s best photographic achievements in the industry by presenting several Support Category Awards. These categories include Book Publisher of the Year; Fashion Layout of the Year; and Curator/Exhibition of the Year, among others.
The Support Category Awards acknowledge the individuals and also institutions that play a critical role in the crafting and promoting of images. The foundation will announce these nominees in September. 
Furthermore, the sponsors for the 2022 Lucie Awards include OnePlus. OnePlus is the official sponsor of both the IPA Photographer of the Year Award and the IPA Discovery of the Year Award. Other sponsors include Chromaluxe as well as Splashlight. However, sponsors are continually added to this list.
The Lucie Awards is the signature program of Lucie Foundation. Moreover, the foundation is a nonprofit charitable organization. Tickets for the gala will go on sale later this summer.
