New York, NY—The winners of the 2019 Lucie Technical Awards were honored at a ceremony on October 24, 2019 during PhotoPlus 2019 Conference + Expo. The presentations were made in Carnegie Hall’s Zankel Hall. The awards are bestowed by the Lucie Foundation and are also a sister program of the Lucie Awards.

These technical awards recognize the most innovative products from the past year as well as the innovators who have shaped the industry. The Lucie Technical Awards honor both the large and small companies, as well as the individuals who have advanced the photographic industry in a given year. All-inclusive, they encompass cameras, lenses, lighting, accessories as well as software.

Experts in the field of photography as well as members of the public contributed to the nomination process. Moreover, the nominations were selected with the advice and guidance of the Lucie Technical Awards (LTA) advisory board, which was responsible for determining the winners.

“This evening we announced the 30 winners of the Lucie Technical Awards from a roster of 132 finalists representing 60+ individual companies,” said Hossein Farmani, founder of the Lucie Technical Awards. “These are some of the most exciting innovations in the photographic world’s toolbox. The Lucie Technical Awards provide an appropriate nod to the industry as well as an introduction to PhotoPlus Expo.”

Lauren Wendle, president Lucie Foundation, added, “For the fifth year in a row, we honor the technological forces who add so much to the creative endeavors of those working in the photographic field. The Lucie Foundation congratulates all of the 2019 nominees, and tonight, the winners of the 5th Annual Lucie Technical Awards.”
