Bend, OR—AsukaBook USA, a division of Kubota Photo Design, announced new albums and faster turnaround times on orders.

The company now offers Zen Lay-flat books with a laminate finish that protects the pages and continues into the binding. The patent-pending invisible binding allows for full image display with no gutter loss. The lay-flat line is available in AsukaBook’s traditional hardcover and EX book formats with either laminate matte or glossy page finishes.

Also available is the new Neo Classic book line, a more traditional style with thicker, board-type pages that also come in a laminate matte or glossy finish and are printed in six color. The glossy cover is fully designable, and the book is showcased in a customizable slide-in presentation case with a space for a DVD.

AsukaBook’s new Book Bound EXD line, recently awarded a 2010 Hot One Award from Professional Photographer magazine, lets photographers custom design the slide-in book box with images and text. The line includes an EX book, presented in a custom bookcase, with a printed hardcover and a matching book jacket with personalized inside flaps.

In addition to a shortened turnaround time for finished orders from 4 weeks to 3 weeks guaranteed, AsukaBook also has a $40 Rush program that ships an order within 10 business days of final approval.

In related news, Red Boot Design, also a Kubota Photo Design division, has added AsukaBook album design templates to their lineup. Red Boot Design will continue to specialize in one-of-a-kind custom album designs but now also offers the convenience of design templates for photographers who want to quickly create an album on their own. The templates, which start at $30 and feature various styles and themes, are editable in Photoshop. http://www.asukabook.com and http://www.redbootdesign.com
