Palo Alto, CA—HP unveiled PC accessories and cameras designed with “affordability, portability and ease of use in mind.” The rollout included two point-and-shoot digital cameras, a camcorder, digital photo frames, an HP portable hard disk drive with USB 3.0 technology, and USB flash drives.

CC450 and PC460t Digital Cameras. These slimline models provide 14 megapixels of resolution, 720p HD video recording and new scene modes. The PC460t also features an ultrathin 3.0-inch touch screen and rechargeable lithium-ion battery. The CC450 and PC460t retail for $119 and $159, respectively.

V5020u Digital Camcorder. For capturing and sharing video in high-definition, this camcorder offers direct upload to YouTube and playback on a high-definition television via a built-in HDMI interface. Image stabilization and 10x digital zoom help minimize blur. $159.

Webcams. A new line of HP 720p and 1080p HD webcams also debuted, including the HD-3100, HD-3110 and HD-4110, all designed to allow users to personalize chat sessions, photos and videos with an included software suite. The webcams are compatible with most instant messaging platforms and are equipped with HP’s three-button quick-launch design. They also employ HP’s TrueVision technology, which was developed to deliver improved low-light performance with an adaptive lighting feature that automatically adjusts the image for changing light conditions. The HD-3100 and HD-3110 retail for $39 and $49, respectively; the HD-4110 webcam starts at $89 and is scheduled for November availability at select online retailers.

Digital Photo Frames. Three HP digital photo frames are available in 7-, 8- and 11-inch sizes. The df730, df840 and df1130 frames display photos with up to 800×600 resolution and have a monthly calendar and digital clock. The df1130 also lets users watch video and enhance photo slideshows with music. The df730 and df840 digital frames start at $69 and $79, respectively; the df1130 retails for $129 at select online retailers.

Portable Hard Drive. At 2.5 inches tall, HP’s new portable hard drive is pocketsize but adds up to 1 terabyte of storage to a PC. It utilizes USB 3.0 technology, permiting users to save files up to three times faster and download multimedia content such as HD movies in half the time when plugged into a USB 3.0 port. Its SimpleSave software runs directly from the drive and automatically initiates backup the minute it’s plugged into a PC.

USB Flash Drives. Sporting a gold metal body with a crystal accent and clip, the HP c335w flash drive is available with up to 32GB of storage. The c310w drive comes with 4GB and 8GB of capacity and features a swivel design that label users can write on to organize data. The c310w comes in blue, purple and orange.
