San Francisco, CA—Unified Color Technologies announced that Scott Marmer of San Jose, California, is the grand prize winner of its Unified Color True Vision HDR photo contest.
Selected by public vote, Marmer’s photo Reed Flute Cave received 21 percent of the total votes cast and was chosen from a carefully curated selection of 45 images created with Unified Color’s HDR (high dynamic range) technology. Marmer won a photo workshop through National Geographic Expeditions and a 15-inch MacBook Pro.
Marmer’s Reed Flute Cave was selected by Unified Color’s panel of judges as a finalist for the grand prize after reviewing hundreds of images to narrow the field to the most technically astute and beautiful images created using HDR techniques. The photo was taken during Marmer’s travels to China and won an honorable mention in the landscape category, in the third cycle of the photo completion. Reed Flute Cave was taken with a Canon Digital Rebel XSI and processed with Unified Color’s stand-alone HDR software package, HDR Expose.
“Thank you to all of our participants and judges and congratulations to Scott on being selected by the community to win the grand prize,” said Alfred Zee, CEO of Unified Color Technologies. “We know you’ll be taking amazing images wherever your selected photo workshop takes you and we look forward to seeing more of your creations.”
