CES 2023 is forecast to be the largest in-person, audited business event to take place in the U.S. since early 2020. The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) announced the show’s footprint is on track to grow more than 40% larger than CES 2022.

Owned and produced by CTA, CES 2023 will enable attendees to experience new technologies from global brands as well as hear about the future of technology from thought leaders. Additionally, they can collaborate face-to-face with other attendees.

“People are excited to head back to Las Vegas for CES 2023. And it will rock,” said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, CTA. “We are optimistic we can hit our attendance goal of 100,000, which would make it the largest independently audited post-pandemic tech event. CES-CTA-Logo-Combo

“This year’s show will feature keynotes from tech visionaries and the opportunity to see and touch the tech that’s shaking up industries and changing our lives for the better.”

CES 2023: A More Touchless Experience

CTA also announced a more touchless venue experience for CES 2023. The move is part of the organization’s commitment to create a healthy environment to conduct and further global business.

CTA will take health and safety measures across all CES venues. They will include increased fresh airflow and filtration systems, handsanitizing stations, door greeters as well as touchless public facilities.

“As producer of the world’s most influential tech event, we are proactively committed to creating an environment that reduces health risks for our attendees,” added Shapiro. “In-person events such as CES are critical to advancing business. A more touchless venue experience at CES 2023 will provide a roadmap for future industry events on health and safety efforts for attendees.”

In addition, the CES 2023 digital experience will offer access to more than 75 conference sessions and keynotes as well as digital activations. It will also make available a network of CES exhibitors, media and attendees.

A Healthy Environment

CTA will implement measures in Las Vegas to create a healthy business environment for CES 2023. They will include the following.

Fresh Airflow and Door Greeters. Fresh airflow was increased in ventilation systems across venues, including the Las Vegas Convention Center, Venetian Expo and ARIA. Moreover, the venues will have all exterior doors open and monitored to allow fresh airflow where possible. Further, door greeters will be stationed at remaining doors to open as attendees enter.

Hand Sanitizing. CTA will install touchless, handsanitizing units throughout all facilities in high traffic areas. All meeting rooms, conference areas, food areas, lounges, customer service areas, information kiosks, elevators, escalators, lounges as well as offices will have handsanitizing stations.

Touchpoints. Furthermore, at all touchpoints, such as the badge pickup locations, touchless badge printing will be utilized. Customer service centers will also offer touchless payment for onsite registrations.

In addition, staff will sanitize all microphones and shared AV equipment between use. And restrooms, handrails and doors will be cleaned throughout the day. Plus, sinks, toilets and paper towel dispensers will be touchless. Finally, the venues will make available cashless payment systems at food outlets and business centers.
