New York, NY—Professional and amateur photographers worldwide should select their best photos and take part in one of the largest and most popular international photo competitions. The decisive phase of the fifth annual CEWE Photo Award is currently underway. Moreover, the deadline for entries is May 31, 2023.

With a value of nearly $30,000, 1,000 prizes are up for grabs. Additionally, those photographers who take part automatically are rewarded, because CEWE donates 10¢ to SOS Children’s Villages worldwide for every photo submitted. That money will go to an educational project of the children’s charity. This year that project is the EduCare Baidoa project in Somalia.
Whether expressive portraits, spectacular architecture or animal motifs, hundreds of thousands of photos from all over the world make the CEWE Photo Award one of the most popular international photo competitions.
Furthermore, the photo contest’s motto is “Our world is beautiful.” Considering the current times, it “is of immense importance we find beauty on our doorstep, when traveling to distant countries and cultures, and above all in nature, which shows how worth protecting our world is. Even more important to capture the magic of the moment again and again from new perspectives,” the company stated.
Participants can submit up to 100 photos in the following 10 categories: Landscapes, People, Nature, Architecture and Technology, Sports, Cooking and Food, Hobby and Leisure, Animals, Travel and Culture as well as Aerial Photos.
Chaired by the renowned Swiss photographer Michel Comte, a top-class jury will decide who will win the overall trophy—the CEWE Photo Award 2023—in the respective categories.
