Boulogne-Billancourt, France—DxO is giving photographers the chance to win up to $2,000 in the DxO New Year, New Perspective competition. You have until February 15, 2024, to submit sets of before-and-after images that showcase the creative as well as technical potential of photo editing with DxO ViewPoint.
“Enter our exclusive photography competition with your best work edited in DxO ViewPoint,” the company announced.

Moreover, there are four prizes of $500 up for grabs for photographs who exemplify ViewPoint’s volume deformation, perspective correction, reshape and miniature effect tools. You also have to demonstrate your creativity, ingenuity and technical excellence in photography.
You can enter as many of the four categories as you like, as many times as you like. Further, the winner in each category will collect a prize of $500.
Category 1: Volume Deformation
Wide-angle lenses are great for tight spaces and dynamic images. However, they can do weird things to your subjects. Show how DxO ViewPoint solves the stretching that can take place at the edges of the frame when photographing with a wide-angle lens. 
Category 2: Perspective
Ever wish you could photograph from a slightly different position, so your verticals and horizontals are all perfectly aligned? Entries for this category should use DxO ViewPoint’s perspective tools to get everything lined up, precisely as you wanted to have them in-camera.
Category 3: ReShape
Warping shouldn’t mean complicated tools to get a small detail into the right place. Show DxO how you have used ViewPoint’s ReShape tool to achieve perfection.
Category 4: Miniature Effect
Recreate the effects of a tilt-and-shift and present DxO with a tiny world using the software’s miniature effect tool.
For each entry, you should send:
- The original version of the photo, prior to editing in DxO ViewPoint 4
- The final version after editing in DxO ViewPoint 4.
