Osnabrück, German—The Felix Schoeller Photo Award honors work that demonstrates a love of photography and the highest standards of image quality. Felix Schoeller, as a manufacturer of specialty papers for large prints, seeks to award and support photographers who share their passion for “uncompromisingly good photos.”

“The international aspect of the biannual Felix Schoeller Photo Award, and its focus on photography professionals, impressed the directors of Fantac, Nanjing, China,” the company announced. Consequently, Fantac is now the sponsor for the third edition of the award, to be held in 2017.
felix-schoeller-trophyFantac’s future plans for its business include expansion into North America, the Middle East and Europe. The company is therefore seeking to increase its exposure through an association with the  photo award—and to raise its profile among the professional photography community.

Fantac, with approximately 200 employees, specializes in the production of digital photo reproductions on inkjet papers. The company’s target customers include both professional and amateur photographers. Fantac produces high-quality photo prints for exhibitions and museums. The company also makes photo books, albums and frames for both consumer groups.

Alongside many other activities, Fantac is Canon’s exclusive strategic partner for the Chinese market. In addition, the jointly operated Canon & Fantac Imaging Solutions R&D Center is an element of that partnership.

The entrance rules for the photo award were already available in English, Portuguese, Spanish and French, in addition to German. Now, from December 2017 forward they will also be translated into Chinese. The next Felix Schoeller Photo Award kicks off January 1, 2017.
