Las Vegas, NV—The World Press Photo Foundation announced a three-year partnership with Lannoo Publishers. As of spring 2020, Lannoo Publishers will be the new global publishing partner of the World Press Photo yearbook. It features the most striking images and compelling stories awarded in the annual photo contest.
This collaboration highlights the goal of both companies to reach a large audience with the stories that matter. The World Press Photo Foundation organizes 121 exhibitions in 50+ countries. With Lannoo’s expertise, the yearbook will distribute in a new way; moreover, thematic or specifically targeted publications, both print and digital will be enabled. “We are excited to have found a publishing partner that can fulfill all of our needs that we have as a foundation in producing, publishing and distributing the content we make available. We are growing fast and need a publishing partner that fits our current scale. We’re confident all of our fans, readers and exhibition partners will be served well by the worldwide and high-quality service Lannoo delivers,” said Lars Boering, managing director World Press Photo Foundation.
“Thinking along with our partners, looking at how we can further unlock relevant content and distribute it internationally, on paper and digitally, that is our drive, ambition and reason for being,” added Niels Famaey, international publisher Art and Photography, Lannoo Publishers.
Moreover, the World Press Photo yearbook is currently printed in six languages; it has a print run of 26,000 copies. Both the Dutch and English versions will appear under the Lannoo imprint. In addition, Lannoo copartners will publish other languages.
