Shenzhen, China—DJI, a leading consumer and enterprise drone manufacturer, stated it has had no business relationship with the recently sanctioned Aeromotus Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Trading LLC since December 2022. This was in response to statements by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

On April 12, 2023, the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) reported that the UAE-based Aeromotus has exported DJI products to Russia since the beginning of the war. Moreover, it called Aeromotus an “authorized dealer” of DJI.

Aeromotus Not a DJI Authorized Dealer

However, DJI asserts that Aeromotus is no longer an authorized dealer. The company said it voluntarily suspended all sales to and business in both Russia and Ukraine as of April 26, 2022. What’s more, it has contractually forbid any sales by dealers to either country as well as for combat use. -AeromotusDJI RS 3 Mini-DJI Sky City-DJI_Innovations_logo-blue

“We have thorough protocols in place to ensure we do not violate U.S. or other jurisdiction’s sanctions implemented against third parties or territories,” DJI stated.

“DJI is committed to providing the best-in-class consumer and enterprise drone technology, which is not designed or intended for military use. DJI will act on any information of authorized dealers violating our policy.”
