Gift Giving Still Drives Imaging Purchases
Port Washington, NY—The topic of our November 2014 Tech Trends is gift giving. For imaging products, this remains an important purchase driver.
According to The NPD Group’s Consumer Tracking Service, one in five or 21 percent of camcorder purchases are meant as gifts.
In addition, more digital SLR cameras are being bought this year to give as gifts compared to last year. In 2014 that number was 17 percent, as compared to 13 percent in 2013.—Ben Arnold, Executive Director, Industry Analyst, The NPD Group
