Port Washington, NY—Despite a difficult first half of 2020, mirrorless detachable-lens cameras continue to take market share, according to the NPD Group Retail Tracking Service.
In the 12 months ending July 2020, mirrorless unit sales accounted for 37 percent of total detachable lens camera sales; that figure was up from just 25% in 2018.

Moreover, leading up to 2020’s Covid-19 impacted Q2 and Q3 time frame, the mirrorless segment enjoyed a steady trend of positive sales. Unit volumes increased +14% throughout much of 2019, as compared to the year prior.
