Richfield, MN—For consumers looking to sharpen their photography skills, Best Buy Camera Experience Shops nationwide are offering professional training. The Camera Experience Shop is a partnership between Best Buy, Canon, Nikon, Sony and GoPro.

Aspiring photographers attended a free workshop, taught by a local expert, from 10 a.m. to noon on June 28 at more than 60 locations across the United States. Another session will be held on July 26.

Professional photographers will teach techniques for taking action shots, portraits, low-light photos and close-ups. Attendees will receive expert feedback and advice, and they will be able to try out lenses and accessories.

Not only does the Camera Experience Shop offer a varied product selection, but it also gives customers an opportunity to interact with the newest cameras—such as DSLR and mirrorless models, as well as 4K camcorders. Canon, Nikon and Sony experts staff the more than 80 shops daily.

Among the photographers teaching the classes and offering their tips are: Kathleen Hennessy; David Honl; Robert Hanashiro; and Marcus Donner. The digital photography workshops are capped at 30 participants per session. For locations and registration, log onto: bestbuycameraexperienceshop.com.
