Jackson, MI—For the first time, PMA@CES 2012 will offer the opportunity for professional photographers to see hundreds of photo-imaging vendors at one time, January 10-13, 2012, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In addition to the wall-to-wall photo-imaging exhibits at PMA@CES, being held at The Venetian, badge-holding photographers can explore the CES 2012 large-scale consumer electronics exhibits at the Las Vegas Convention Center, with a designated shuttle traveling between the two venues.
“The 2012 show is going to be a major landmark in the photo-imaging industry,” said Ted Fox, executive director and CEO, PMA. “Because of our CES relationship, professional photographers will have access to all CES exhibits, as well as PMA exhibits. This will give attendees a major advantage in exposure to the latest technology has to offer in imaging, sound, video and lighting, as well as flat-screen displays and tablets.”
Another opportunity for photographers is the Digital Imaging Marketing Association’s (DIMA) preshow conference on January 8-9, at Bally’s Las Vegas. This year’s DIMA conference includes an exclusive professional photographic track of programs, including Kevin Kubota on lighting and a special “Get in Motion” presentation from filmmakers Ross Hockrow and Jeff Medford.
In addition, author and educator Lee Varis will present his popular “10-Channel Workflow” program, and renowned Rods and Cones’ cofounder, Son Do, will be sharing “The Secret to Perfect Color.”
Also of interest to photographers, in collaboration with the Wedding & Event Videographers Association (WEVA), is a full-day conference on entering the field of wedding filmmaking and event videography, called “Getting into Wedding & Event Filmmaking – 101,” which will be held on January 9.
