Beltsville, MD—Ritz & Wolf Camera & Image announced its imaging order site, RitzPix.com, has been bolstered via an agreement with Lucidiom Inc. to provide consumers with enhanced image-editing options and an expanded photo product portfolio. The site improvements are based on Microsoft Corp.’s Silverlight technology.
“Whether you are sharing photos on Flickr or printing an old black-and-white print, the photo industry continues to evolve, and we are dedicated to providing a website that is both relevant and functional,” said Peter Tahmin, vice president, Imaging and Online, Ritz Camera & Image. “The new RitzPix.com experience is innovative, fun, easy-to-use and ties the in-store imaging experience of our more than 1,800 kiosks nationwide to the web for the first time.”
RitzPix.com provides online ordering and pickup at more than 300 Ritz & Wolf locations in 36 states—often with a one-hour turnaround. The online portal offers image storage and more than 100 personalized photo products that can be picked up at any Ritz & Wolf retail locations.
Creative photo products now include aluminum prints, 3D cards, animated cards, hardcover calendars, mini wall calendars, photo wrapping paper, note cards, notepads, 5×7 lay-flat cards and preprinted envelopes. The site also offers an enhanced selection of themes, with 50 new photo book layouts, 400 new greeting card designs, and new calendar and collage options.
Consumers can now benefit from image-editing tools via Picnik, including the ability to: fix photos in one click; fine-tune results with advanced controls; crop, resize and rotate images in real time; add creative special effects to photos; add text to photos with a wide selection of fonts; and remove red-eye.
Among the other services consumers can opt for at RitzPix.com are: scanning and archiving; photo restoration; mounting and laminating; image recovery; video transfer; and online image storage. ritzcameraandimage.com
