New Nikon Software Debuts at Z 9 Launch

Melville, NY—When Nikon Inc. officially launched its first mirrorless ILC flagship, the Nikon Z 9, it also introduced a number of other products. Along with a pair of Nikkor S line telephoto zoom lenses, the company introduced new Nikon software.

The ecosystem for the company’s Z series continues to expand with the release of two software solutions. The company asserts that both apps will enhance professional image capture as well as workflow. The company debuted NX Mobile Air software as well as Nikon NX Tether.

NX Mobile Air

In essence, it will allow users to have a wired connection to their smartphone or device from the camera for fast wireless image transfer to an FTP server over a 5G cellular signal. In addition, the app will support the transmission of IPTC and voice memos.

Nikon NX Tether

What’s more, Nikon NX Tether is a free application to enable tethering of Nikon cameras to instantly display captured content on a computer monitor. This software is billed as an “easy way for commercial, food or studio photographers to visualize their output for client review in real time.”
