Irv Ungar, a longtime independent photo rep based in Chicago, recently celebrated his 100th birthday with some industry veterans in Lincolnwood, Illinois. Joining the party were (L-R, standing): Larry Byer, Robert Pattis, Dan Callahan, Ben Arkes, Al Zoot, Scott Shutan, Ray Kim and Alan Gelman, as well as (seated) Mitch Roston, Carlyn Ungar (Ungar’s wife) and Irv Ungar. Ungar represented, among other brands, Castle Films, Tamrac, Tamron, Sanyo and Kalt in the Chicago area.
