New York, NY—During the American Society of Picture Professionals’ (ASPP) April national board meeting, Anna Fey, who had been ASPP’s president pro tem since mid-January, stepped down.

Cecilia de Querol was nominated ASPP’s new national president, and the board vote was unanimously in her favor. Subsequently, de Querol stepped down as Education cochair to accept the president’s role, and Anna Fey returned to the vice president’s spot.

“I am deeply honored to have been entrusted to lead ASPP for the next two years and to build on the achievements of Michael Masterson and past presidents,” said de Querol. “As many of you know, I have been active on both the local and national levels since 2007. During this time, I developed a deep appreciation for ASPP and what it does for its members and the community. Many of my most valuable business connections and friendships were made through ASPP. I love ASPP and will throw my time and energy into making it flourish.”

The board also voted to accept Sam Merrell’s contract as executive director. It also welcomed Michael Masterson as ASPP’s newest trustee and Darrell Perry as the new copresident of the New York chapter. aspp.com
