Canon USA Promotes Two Executives

Melville, NY—Canon USA, Inc., announced the recent promotion of two executives. Nobuhiko Kitajima was named vice president and general manager of the business imaging solutions group. It also reported the appointment of N. Scott Millar as vice president and general manager of corporate human resources.

Kitajima’s concentration will be on Canon’s large-format solutions and image capturing products. He will also oversee various mixed reality products and the DreamLabo production photo printer.

A 35-year Canon employee, Kitajima began with Canon Inc. in 1981. He joined Canon USA in 1986, before returning to Canon Inc. in 1993. Beginning his second assignment with Canon USA in 2002, Kitajima also led the launch of the imagePrograf large-format printer line in U.S. market. He rose to the position of senior director before his current promotion.

N. Scott Millar

Millar will be involved with talent acquisition, talent and leadership development, total rewards, employee engagement plus human resource operations and support. Millar succeeds Joseph Warren.

Since 2015, Millar has served as senior director, HR, for Canon BioMedical, Canon’s global headquarters for molecular diagnostic medical operations.

Millar joined Canon Virginia, Inc., in 1992, where he served as the senior director of human resources. Canon Virginia is the company’s flagship operation for manufacturing, engineering as well as technical support in the Americas.

Additionally, the appointments of both executives is immediate.
