Panasonic Corp. Announces Senior Management Changes, Names New President

Osaka, Japan—Panasonic Corporation is reshaping its management team, announcing a new corporate president as well as changes in the membership of its board of directors, corporate auditors and other executive positions.

Assuming the role of president will be Kazuhiro Tsuga, who previously headed up Panasonic Corp.’s audio-visual business. Fumio Ohtsubo, who had been president, will now become the chairman of the board.

The roles of the new executive officers will become effective April 1, 2012, and the proposed changes to the company’s board of directors and board of corporate auditors will be effective June 27, 2012. The proposed changes will be submitted for and subject to approval at the company’s ordinary general meeting of shareholders on June 27, 2012.

Here in North America, Joseph Taylor was named the regional head for North American chairman and CEO of Panasonic Corporation of North America.
