Newark, NJ—Panasonic named Megan Myungwon Lee as chairwoman and CEO of Panasonic Corporation of North America. The company is the principal North American subsidiary of Osaka, Japan-based Panasonic Corporation.
Lee, formerly the chief human resources officer and vice president of Corporate Planning and Strategic Initiatives at Panasonic Corporation of North America, assumed her new roles on October 1, 2021.
Moreover, Lee succeeds Michael Moskowitz, who is departing Panasonic after more than a decade in top leadership roles with the company.

With more than 30 years of experience, Lee has served in a variety of senior leadership roles with Panasonic. In addition, she was instrumental in spearheading new business initiatives; strategic planning; digitization of human resources management; as well as the company’s diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) strategy, both in the U.S. and Japan.
Lee is also acting chair of the board of the Panasonic Foundation. The foundation advances equity in science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM) education.

Michael Moskowitz
Panasonic named Moskowitz chairman and chief executive officer of Panasonic Corporation of North America in 2019. Previously, he served simultaneously as president of Panasonic Canada, Inc., and president of Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company. Moreover, during his tenure, Moskowitz played a critical role in the company’s ongoing evolution and adaptability through the Covid-19 pandemic.
He also helped improve Panasonic Canada’s margins and profitability. He did so by expanding the company’s solutions-based offerings for business-to-business (B2B) customers.
