Atlanta, GA—ShootProof announced the appointment of John Parks as its chief information officer. With three decades of information technology experience, Parks brings deep expertise in IT strategy, product development, infrastructure services, technology assessment, as well as program implementation. ShootProof is a global provider of online gallery software and related services for professional and semiprofessional photographers.

In addition to his core skills in product development, Parks also has a strong background in security and compliance. Furthermore, he understands how to implement pragmatic and effective controls without burdening the organization in excessive red tape.

Most recently, Parks was the CIO at Ansira. He was responsible for Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, Enterprise Systems as well as Security. Prior to that, he helped grow INVISION from five employees to more than 120 with its technology; furthermore, he managed $10 billion in sales and billing for the largest media companies before INVISION was sold to Mediaocean in 2016.

Parks began his career with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture); he cut his teeth as a software developer and data architect. In addition, he holds a BS degree in electrical engineering and an MS in accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
