Sony Academy Launches In-Store Photography Classes

2905

San Diego, CA—Sony Academy kicked off the summer with free in-store photography classes. The classes feature tips for those just starting out to those who feel most at home with a camera in hand. The goal is to get out of “auto mode” and into the inner workings of the Sony camera, whether it’s a Cyber-shot P&S or an Alpha DSLR.

The classes are taught by digital imaging experts at Sony Stores and are free to all. The curriculum was developed by world-class photographer, photographic educator and technology enthusiast Leslie Fisher. A true “Sony Training Artisan,” Fisher considers herself a teacher first and a photographer second. She has been involved with Sony Electronics and its digital imaging business since the before the first Alpha went to market.

The class curriculum is divided into three sections: Sony Camera Basics, Beyond the Basics and Advanced Techniques. They also include tips and tricks to take attendees to the next level. Topics cover portrait and objects, landscapes, macro, action and sports, and low-light shooting. Attendees also learn about the extra features on Sony cameras. sony.com
