Madrid, Spain—The TIPA 2021 World Award presentation ceremony took place on Friday, September 24, 2021 on the Photopia stage (Hall A4). Photopia Hamburg is a four-day Festival of Imaging in Hamburg, Germany.
Representatives of the winning companies attended the event. In addition, TIPA broadcast the ceremony live to a worldwide audience. Moreover, the livestream was a first for the TIPA World Awards, complementing the Share Your Vision concept of the Photopia exhibition.
In addition, the program featured welcoming remarks by Bernd Aufderheide, president and CEO of Hamburg Messe and Congress GmbH; they both introduced the new and different exhibition concept represented by Photopia. Aufderheide welcomed the new yearly partnership between Photopia and the TIPA World Awards ceremony and presentation.
Furthermore, Thomas Gerwers, TIPA chairman, hosted the ceremony. He was joined by TIPA board member Roland Franken to read the role of honors for the 40 TIPA 2021 World Awards winners. The event also included video acceptance messages from the winning companies who could not attend. What’s more, TIPA will make this benefit of a livestream presentation a regular part of future TIPA World Award and Photopia Hamburg events.
Along with cameras and lenses that cover every segment, from entry level to expert and professional, TIPA Award winners represent the wide range of products and services that make up the imaging industry. The awards span 40 categories, including inkjet papers, imaging software, storage media, monitors, video cameras and accessories.
