Madrid, Spain—The TIPA Photo Contest 2025, camerAmore, launched. The contest focuses on photographic equipment and the photographer’s relationship with it. Furthermore, the Technical Image Press Association (TIPA) will award the best photos of photographic equipment in three categories.
So, send your best shot of photo gear, new or old, expensive or not. Winners receive a total of 3,000 euros ($3,150). You can upload your best shots in one, two or all three categories. The editors of TIPA member publications will select the best images in each category as well as one overall winner.
TIPA Photo Contest 2025 Categories
My Camera and I
Think “camera selfie.” A self-portrait with camera in hand. Use reflective surfaces or set another camera on a tripod or and use a self-timer with just you and your camera as the subjects. The entry can also be a beauty shot of a unique piece of gear.
My Camera in Action
TIPA is looking for photos showing photographers and their camera at work. For instance, you can submit photographs of context (sports event, nature walk, studio setup); accessories like a tripod and flash; the special use of lenses; or interesting positioning you use to get a great angle of view.
What’s in My Camera Bag
This category is all about the clever and artistic arrangement of cameras, lenses, accessories, filters, even film. Show off what you carry into the field for nature work, sports work, even astrophotography. Photograph inside the bag or equipment arrayed around it.
