Oakhurst, CA—The Ansel Adams photography weekend at Yosemite National Park is the first-of-its-kind experience offered in partnership with the Ansel Adams Gallery and Château du Sureau. The event was created to enable photographers to capture images of park scenes made famous by Adams’s signature photographic style

Reminiscent of France’s Provencal region, the Château du Sureau is a Relais & Chateaux resort located at the gateway to Yosemite National Park. Further, the Ansel Adams Gallery is an authorized concessioner of the National Park Service. The Ansel Adams family has operated the gallery in Yosemite Valley since 1902.

Participants will also have access to transportation to an “outside classroom” for a walking tour of Cooks Meadow. There, instructors will discuss digital camera techniques and compositional theory. The group will be transported to other scenic areas of Yosemite Valley to have the opportunity to put their skills to the test.
