Huntington Beach, CA—MailPix, a photo printing, canvas and photo gifting e-commerce company, has purchased the printing division of Photobucket Corp. PrintShopLab, online at printshoplab.com, will continue in partnership with the privately held Photobucket.

Lerner, CEO and founder of MailPix. “In operation since 2003, Photobucket hosts more than 100 billion images from 100 million users and also has recently embarked on a vigorous campaign to reengage them. “MailPix staff have the expertise in customer service, in order fulfillment and in digital marketing to exceed the expectations of Photobucket print customers,” added Lerner.

In addition, consumers can order the full complement of PrintShopLab’s photo products from the convenience of their Photobucket accounts. Products include everything from prints, canvas and enlargements to photo books, photo gifts, photo décor and business products.

Moreover, MailPix has made five acquisitions in as many years. They include: 1 Hour Photo, Winkflash, MyPix2, RitzPix and now Photobucket’s PrintShopLab. Furthermore, apps in the MailPix family deliver to more than 18,000 U.S. retail locations.

Fred Lerner

Fred H. Lerner previously founded Ritz Interactive, which included RitzCamera.com, WolfCamera.com and others. Lerner also founded two imaging companies that Kodak acquired. In addition, he became the CEO of Kodak Processing Labs. Furthermore, he is a United Nations’ Hall of Fame recipient.

Peter Tahmin, cofounder and COO of MailPix, was the former vice president at Ritz Camera & Image. He was also cofounder, senior vice president and COO of the Ritz Interactive e-commerce network. He brings more than 20 years of e-commerce experience and a lifetime of imaging industry experience to MailPix.
