Concord, NC—DNP Imagingcomm America Corporation released a software update for its Snap Lab SL620A. Version 3.4.25.0 provides a range of functional improvements.
As part of this software version, users can now execute a digital wireless transfer of images from smartphones to the Snap Lab without using the mobile app. This new capability makes it easier for customers to input and print the photos. Also included is a new index print feature. The index print can be added to the print job and will show thumbnails of every image in the print job order.
Other enhancements for better workflows during events include a new event mode control. It permits an operator to set the quantity for minimum and maximum photos per order. In addition, it provides the ability to process credit card payment directly through the interface.
“Adding this functionality and new features to the Snap Lab software is a direct result of feedback from our customers in the event photography and photo retail markets,” said Shinichi Yamashita, president of DNP IAM. “These improvements are part of continuous upgrades we have made to the software platform, enhancing its capabilities with no additional investment required.”
DNP Snap Lab SL620A
The Snap Lab all-in-one photo printing system is one of DNP’s best-selling event photography systems. It features ease of use, light weight, a small footprint and a full feature set in a compact photo solution. Moreover, no PC is required to operate the system.
The Snap Lab has a 10.1-inch touch-sensitive color LCD and a user-friendly graphical user interface (GUI). The interface provides instant photo printing as well as access to templates. As a result, operators can add borders and text to photos, collages and calendars.
The photo kiosk system combines DNP’s DS620A dye-sublimation photo printer, DS-Tmini order terminal head and customized software. The workflow includes wireless smartphone connectivity and the ability to create numerous photo products. The products range from high-quality prints to photo books. The system is also scalable to add additional DNP photo printers for speed and variety of output print sizes.
Also integrated is a range of media card readers, such as CompactFlash, SD, MicroSD, Memory Stick, MS Micro and xD, as well as USB ports.
