Canon Explorers of Light Program Adds Five Photographers

Melville, NY—The Canon Explorers of Light (EOL) program showcases industry-leading photographers. Moreover, these pros leverage Canon products to see and capture the evocative images. Five new Explorers of Light were revealed from an assortment of genres.

In addition, Canon announced a new program called Canon Legends. This program honors photographers who have broken barriers and lead the way within the photographic community. It is anchored in the Canon Explorers of Light program.

New Canon Explorers of Light

Pushing the boundaries of creativity and discovering what is possible with Canon equipment, the newly introduced EOLs follow.

Erin Babnik

Babnik is known internationally as a leading photographic artist, educator, writer as well as speaker. Her ambitious, expressive style of landscape photography brings together an unusual integration of adventurous exploration, progressive techniques and formal education in the arts. Moreover, in her writing and public speaking, she explores topics with a blend of art history and instructional ideas.

Babnik shoots with EOS 5D Mark IV and EOS M50 cameras. Her favorite lenses are the EF 11–24mm f/4L, EF 16–35mm f/2.8L, EF 24–105mm f/4L IS, EF 70–200mm f/4L IS and EF 100–400mm f/4.5–5.6L IS.

Larry Chen

Chen is well known as a car culture and commercial automotive photographer. The Los Angeles-based photographer’s work has graced the covers of Hot Rod, 000 and SuperStreet magazines. He is also known for his work with the Hoonigans. Moreover, when he is not covering editorial, he works with major automotive brands. In addition, Chen is the official photographer for the Formula Drift series and the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.

Sal Cincotta

Cincotta photographed his first wedding at the age of 17. Today, he is an international award-winning photographer, educator, author and the publisher of Shutter magazine. In addition, he created ShutterFest.com, an immersive hands-on photography event that helps photographers master their craft.

In his bag are an EOS R camera along with the RF 85mm f/1.2L; RF 50mm f/1.2L; the RF 28–70mm f/2L; RF 70–200mm f/2.8L IS; the RF 15–35mm f/2.8L IS; EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS; and EF 24mm f/1.4L II lenses.

Vanessa Joy

Starting her photographic journey in 1998, Joy branched into public speaking, earned five college degrees and received a PPA Photographic Craftsman degree. The wedding and portrait photographer also has spoken at almost every major convention and platform. They include CreativeLIVE, The Wedding School, Clickin’ Moms, WPPI, ShutterFest as well as Imaging USA. In addition, Joy hosts personal workshops and small business and photography conventions.

Joy shoots with an EOS 1DX Mark II camera with EF 70–200mm II f/2.8L and EF 135mm f/2L lenses.

Zak Noyle

Based on the Hawaiian island of O’ahu, the outdoor photographer spends countless hours in the water, creating dramatic imagery and artful interpretations of the world’s most magnificent ocean environment. Moreover, Noyle has worked with high-end clients from the worlds of technology, automotive and fashion. He has also worked on highly visible and successful advertising campaigns.
