High Wycombe, UK—Rotolight announced the upcoming launch of the fifth generation in the company’s Anova lighting series. The Anova Pro 3 was developed from 12 years of user feedback and R&D. Rotolight provided a sneak peek at IBC 2023, but the light won’t launch until October 12th on Kickstarter.

Moreover, Rotolight revealed that the light is “manufactured with some exciting and useful features” for the photography, film and television industries. The Anova series is used by broadcasters and global studios, including Amazon Studios, Netflix, BBC, ITV as well as RAI.

The Rotolight Anova Pro 3 was previewed at IBC 2023.

“The Rotolight team previewed the new Anova Pro 3 at IBC Amsterdam last weekend and received a fantastic response, with Business Development Manager Tim Haskell stating: ‘The response has been nothing short of amazing! We seem to have created exactly the light that the market has been waiting for. The brightest 1×1 light on the market with some stunning, class leading features,” the company noted.

The Anova Pro 3 has an output of 22,000 + lux with a power draw of 200 watts. Notably, that output is more than twice the output of both previous generations of Anova lights as well as the Rotolight AEOS 2 Pro.

New and time-saving features include IP65 weather resistance; native full power V-Lock battery operation; touchscreen display; a “magic eye” optical light sensor; app control; and built-in lumen radio CRMX. Moreover, its output and power draw make it possible to power the fixture with V-mount batteries for remote applications. Rotolight-Anova-Pro-3-wet

Rotolight will unveil more features of the Anova Pro 3 in the weeks before its October 12 launch  on Kickstarter. Once the campaign is finished, the light will have a suggested retail price of approximately $3,000.
