New York City, NY—B&H Photo is now selling 3D Systems’ 3D printers online and at its Manhattan superstore on 9th Avenue and 34th Street. The Cube 3D printer comes in five colors and is available in-store for $1,299.

The Cube 3D printer, which is about the size of a stand mixer,  is a consumer 3D printer that is home certified and safe for children as young as eight years old. It is a plug-and-play device right out of the box, with an easy-load cartridge and touch-screen user interface.

Cube features Wi-Fi, is compatible with Mac and Windows, and comes with 25 free 3D files designed by professional artists, with additional apps available online. With its ultra-portable form, Cube is designed to go anywhere. It prints in a choice of ABS or PLA plastic in 16 colors, including two that glow-in-the-dark.

The 3D printer is also supported by 3D Systems' consumer ecosystem, cubify.com, a marketplace of 3D objects and designs to print at home, along with creation tools, from mobile and web apps to design software and cloud printing access, for users to have their favorite creations printed by 3D Systems and shipped to their doorstep.

“We are absolutely thrilled that a leader the caliber of B&H Photo is introducing our award winning Cube 3D printer in their impressive NYC superstore,” said Rajeev Kulkarni, vice president and general manager of Consumer Products, 3D Systems. “B&H is the ideal partner to deliver the only true plug-and-play 3D printer, extending our reach and democratizing access for professionals and consumers, alike.” cubify.com
