Chicago, IL—As consumers return to in-store shopping, retailers are concerned with keeping their store’s air quality safe for both customers and employees. Selling and demonstrating photo products, conducting educational seminars and working with customers on custom projects can be conducted in a safe environment. Econergy LLC is helping retailers maintain a cleaner environment with affordable, effective air purification systems.

Econergy, which offers the Puraclenz line of air purifiers, is also helping to educate both retailers and consumers with information meant to build confidence that the indoor environment is a safe, clean space in which to work and shop. It provides retail educational displays, such as counter cards and window decals, to announce to customers that this business has taken measures to make the store safer. Retailers can show customers they have their safety in mind by improving their indoor air quality with an air purifier.

The Econergy Puraclenz Process

Econergy’s Puraclenz air purifiers use a disinfection process known as Photocatalytic Oxidation (PCO). It is actually a process that occurs in nature, creating ionization to clean the air.

“It is scientifically proven to deactivate pathogens in the air and on exposed surfaces. Mold spores, bacteria, VOCs as well as all three classes of viruses, including coronaviruses, are deactivated before they can spread,” the company announced. “This process was used on the International Space Station to provide clean air for the astronauts. Econergy’s Puraclenz air purifiers generate and distribute these same ions throughout the room, finding and destroying contaminants that may be in the air, and on exposed surfaces.” Econergy-Logo

Puraclenz air purifiers have achieved a greater level of performance via a reengineered internal catalyst design. Moreover, the product was awarded a U.S. patent. The company says it “can generate an unprecedented density of ions in a PCO device, capable of deactivating viruses and other pathogens in a room as large as 3,000 square feet.”

What’s more, since it uses no dangerous chemicals nor emits ozone, it can be used in public places. A key feature that sets the Puraclenz PCO process apart is that it’s an active operating system; it distributes its ions throughout the entire room, finding and destroying the cellular structure of pathogens it comes in contact with.

“When a person coughs or sneezes, airborne germs and viruses must travel through the ionized air before infecting another person and will likely be deactivated before they have a chance to reach their victim,” the company adds. However, passive filtration systems, which must draw the air in through the unit to clean it, can leave the room vulnerable to further contamination.

In addition, Econergy notes its air purification process is affordable. The easy-to-use P-3000 model has a retail price of $499.99. Furthermore, there are no installation labor costs. Retailers can plug it into any 120V electrical outlet and it automatically starts operating. It works on a continuous 24/7 basis; so the air in the store is constantly refreshed.

What’s more, maintenance is a matter of replacing a filter once every six months and the UV bulb once every 2.5 years. An indicator LED alert tells users when it’s time to make the switch.

For smaller retail stores, Econergy also offers the Puraclenz P-1500. It uses the same highdensity ionproducing catalyst to destroy pathogens over a 1,500 sq. ft. area. It sells for $399.99.

“The proof of performance for the P-3000 was recently certified by an FDAcompliant lab, which reported a 99.5% efficacy rate of deactivating the MS-2 Bacteriophage virus, an FDA recognized close surrogate to Covid-19, in a controlled testing environment,” the company stated. “Other lab tests report the P-3000 reduced bacteria, including MRSA by 99.7%, and destroyed mold spores by over 95%.” The full lab reports are available from Econergy upon request.
