Los Angeles, CA—DJI, a provider of civilian drones and camera technology, launched the pocketsize DJI Mic 2 for content creators.

DJI Mic 2 Pro Audio Recording Functions
At the heart of the Mic 2 is omnidirectional recording capabilities. Moreover, it is optimized for vocal clarity. Whether content creators are producing vlogs, conducting interviews or recording in diverse environments, the DJI Mic 2 helps guarantee their audio is of high quality. 
The new microphone also features intelligent noise-canceling technology. Thus, it is an option for content creators working in bustling urban areas or crowded rooms. This technology effectively reduces environmental noise to deliver clear vocals and uninterrupted audio recordings. Plus, for windy or fast-moving scenarios, the mic has an included windscreen to lower wind noise.
Further, as an added layer of protection for the audio, the Mic 2 provides a safety track function. As a result, content creators can record a second track at -6dB alongside the primary audio track, safeguarding against unexpected audio level spikes.
DJI also designed its new mic for ease of use. Its aesthetic boasts a premium metal charging case that not only has a minimalistic appearance but also offers a newly added locking latch. Consequently, it provides a secure solution to prevent accidental drops for peace of mind during use. 
Notably, the new microphone features dual-channel recording. This enables content creators to capture audio from two sources simultaneously, simplifying multi-source recording and enhancing efficiency during postproduction. It also has 8GB of internal storage per transmitter, for 14 hours of uncompressed 48 kHz, 24-bit audio recording.
In addition, the mic’s 32-bit float internal recording capability adapts to complex sound environments. DJI designed the mic to capture nuances of sounds, from quiet whispers to booming decibel levels. As a result, it provides options for postproduction fine-tuning.
User-Friendly Features
The Mic 2 system is ready to use anywhere. Open the charging case and it will automatically pair the receiver and transmitters while charging them. Additionally, you can connect it to a DJI Osmo Action 4, DJI Osmo Pocket 3 and smartphone devices via Bluetooth. Furthermore, it is compatible with various recording devices via USB-C, Lightning adapters as well as 3.5mm TRS analog output.
What’s more, the mic offers touchscreen operation. A 1.1-inch OLED touchscreen pairs with a dial to provide access to critical information. You can adjust volume, gain and brightness while achieving the optimal audio setup. In addition, with magnetic attachment for quick concealment, the transmitters have a user-friendly clip-on design to attach them to clothing. 
With a built-in motor, the Mic 2 transmitter also sends haptic feedback during key operations like powering on or off; internal recording; muting and unmuting; and noise reduction activation or deactivation.
When it comes to range and battery life, the mic has a maximum audio transmission range of 820 feet in open, unobstructed environments without interference. This range caters to common scenarios such as livestreaming, studio recording as well as outdoor recording. Plus, each transmitter and receiver has a stated six-hour operating time. Further, you can extend that to 18 hours with the charging case.
