The palm-sized, portable device unlocks the creative potential of smartphone photos or videos. In addition, the Osmo Mobile 6 smartphone stabilizer was enhanced through functions on the device, software features and editing software. Consequently, you have creative control of your phone camera. Alongside improved ergonomics and compatibility with larger phones, the Osmo Mobile 6 features DJI’s 3-axis stabilization, a new Quick Launch and ActiveTrack 5.0.
The updated device also features a new ergonomically designed handle and larger clamp to accommodate phones even with cases. Pocketable, it weighs in at 10.6 ounces. Moreover, with a built-in extension rod, the Osmo Mobile 6 helps achieve better-framed selfies or shots at more interesting angles. Three motors and DJI’s algorithms keep smartphones steady when shooting photos and videos.
What’s more, to capture fleeting moments, the device has a new Quick Launch feature for iPhones. Once unfolded, attaching an iPhone to the stabilizer automatically triggers the Mimo app alert to enter the camera view instantly. Preparation time is reduced, with the device running three times quicker than previous models.
Another function is ActiveTrack 5.0. It offers more stable tracking at longer distances as well as allows the front camera to track subjects that turn to the side or spin. The gimbal automatically keeps the subject the center of attention during shooting.

Furthermore, there’s a built-in status panel and mode button to check the battery level and switch between the four gimbal modes. A tap on the M button and you can cycle between:
• Follow: The camera view follows the gimbal’s pan-and-tilt movements and stays level during rolls. This mode is for shooting up, down as well as diagonally.
• Tilt Lock: The camera view only follows the gimbal’s pan movement and stays stable during tilts and rolls. This is a solution for shooting horizontally or moving around a subject.
• FPV: Here all three axes of the gimbal follow the movement of the handle for dynamic filming of still subjects like landmarks or statues.
• SpinShot: Push the joystick to the left or right to control the rotation of the camera view and create dynamic footage.
You can also control zoom and focus with the device’s side wheel. Roll the wheel to adjust the focal length for flexible composition and zoom in and out with smoothness.
Plus, you can achieve a cinematic look with a press of the side wheel to switch to manual focus control.
In addition, the Osmo Mobile 6 includes intelligent features: timelapse (warp time and space with timelapse, motionlapse and hyperlapse); dynamiczoom; gesture control; panorama (3×3, 240° and cloneme); and story mode with templates to help combine camera movements, transitions and soundtracks.
