Upper Saddle River, NJ—Manfrotto, a provider of photo-imaging equipment and accessories, introduced a mini tripod for photographers looking for a support that is light and portable. PIXI is capable of being used with a variety of digital devices, including point-and-shoot cameras, CSCs and smaller DSLRs, as well as the Manfrotto KLYP case for the iPhone 4/4s/5.

PIXI is a compact, functional option for photographers; without the bulk of larger, heavier tripods, PIXI is easy to pack and take along. The Italian-designed mini tripod is engineered with a secure base and is suitable for a range of photographic purposes, from capturing landscapes or night photography to self-portraits. In addition to being a tool for taking still photos, PIXI has an ergonomic grip that helps produce smooth videos from different perspectives.

Also featured is a push-button mechanism that enables users to position and lock the ball head in one movement. Pushing the button releases the ball joint to move freely so users can position the subject correctly in the frame.

Other key features include: stainless steel construction that weighs eight ounces; folding legs with a height of five inches when opened and seven inches when closed; the ability to support a maximum body weight of 1.4 pounds; the head is able to tilt 35º on the vertical axis and pan 360º on the horizontal axis; and a universal ¼-inch screw thread.

Manfrotto is offering PIXI (MTPIXI-B) for $28.00. manfrotto.us
