San Diego, CA—Nik Software ranked number 217 on the Technology Fast 500, Deloitte’s ranking of 500 of the fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology companies in North America.
Rankings are based on percentage of fiscal year revenue growth during the period from 2006–2010. Nik Software grew 426% during this period, ranking in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 as the fourth fastest growing software company in the San Diego area and in the top 30 in California.
“Our growth is a direct result of over 12 years of investing in innovation for digital photography and focusing on the customer experience,” said Michael J. Slater, president and CEO of Nik Software. “We’re proud to have achieved rapid and sustainable growth over a five-year period and feel honored to be recognized as part of Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500.”
Nik Software is known in the photography industry for making software products for professionals and hobbyists. Its U Point technology, found in all of the company’s products, has made Nik products sought-after tools in photography.
The company continues its rapid growth in desktop and mobile software, with its most recent mobile app release, Snapseed, approaching the 1.5 million-customer mark within four months of release. With the popularity of mobile photography skyrocketing, the company sees the market for photography software and services continuing to grow.
Over the last decade, Nik Software has won over 100 awards for product design, quality and innovation. Earlier in the year, the company won two of the industry’s most prestigious international awards—the EISA Award and TIPA Award—for Best Software. The company previously won the same EISA Award for its patented U Point technology. niksoftware.com
