The complete kit includes the 2-inch, Arca-compatible, anodized aluminum round mounting plate/riser; a 3/8-16 female with 1/4-20 stainless steel bolt; a male to 3/8-16 female adapter with a circular bubble level; and a 3-inch spigot adapter for portable and creative studio lighting.
In addition, it bundles a silicone pad for a secure grip on flat surfaces; a 36-inch cinch strap for securing a Platypod on large, freestanding objects such as trees and poles; as well as a 3-inch carabiner. In addition, the company provides a drawstring pouch to keep all items securely packed.

Launched in 2014, Platypod Pro LLC is a small, family-owned business “committed to making excellent quality products for professional photographers and videographers at affordable prices.”
Inspired by the duck-billed platypus, an animal with flat, broad feet, compact Platypod tripods feature high ergonomics and a flat shape that balances DSLRs and lenses.
What’s more. there are two versions of Platypod tripods. The Max is for DSLRs and video cameras with heavy lenses; the Ultra works with lighter DSLRs, mirrorless cameras and compact action cameras, as well as smartphones.
In addition, the company is poised to release Platyball this year. It is its first button-operated tripod head with an inverted design and an electronic leveling indicator.
