Ridgefield Park, NJ—Adding to its collection of camera accessories, Polaroid debuted the Polaroid Pro series 55-inch carbon fiber travel tripod. The Polaroid varipod 2-in-1 telescoping camera monopod was also announced.
Available through Amazon, the Polaroid travel tripod and monopod are marketed to casual photographers and videographers as well as prosumers.
Polaroid Travel Tripod
Designed for the on-the-go photographer as well as videographer, the travel tripod offers a fluid pan head, braced center columns and adjustable spider legs with nonslip foot grips. As a result of its carbon fiber body, the Polaroid travel tripod is up to 50% lighter than metal counterparts. Additionally, its fully articulating ball head and removable plate offer the capability to capture shots from nearly any angle.
Key features of the Polaroid travel tripod include a 100% carbon fiber body, an extension height of over 55 inches and a folded size of 12.5 inches. In addition, the tripod weighs less than 3 pounds yet is said to hold up to 20 pounds.
The Polaroid travel tripod retails for $99.99. It ships with a fully articulating ball head with removable plate plus a carrying case.
Polaroid Varipod Monopod
The varipod 2-in-1 telescoping monopod can be used as both a monopod and a tripod. Polaroid says its “rugged form factor makes it ideal for shooting in any condition.” It has a removable 4-inch tripod base that can be used with the monopod or without it.
The Polaroid varipod features locking tripod feet with rubber grip pads; an extension height of 65 inches; and a base tilt angle, rotation and telescoping section locks.
The Polaroid varipod monopod has an SRP of $54.45. It comes with a removable wrist strap and also a shoulder carrying bag.
