“The NT1 Signature series arrives hot on the heels of the NT1 5th Generation, which fused the classic sound signature of the NT1 with cutting-edge technology, such as its world-first dual-connect output for both XLR and USB connectivity; a 32-bit float digital output; and onboard DSP. With the 5th Generation, the analog circuitry of the NT1 was also upgraded to deliver lower noise, higher SPL handling capabilities, an extremely smooth frequency response and a tightly controlled pickup pattern,” Røde announced.

The NT1 Signature mic offers the same specs and classic NT1 sound as the NT1 5th Generation, but with the original XLR-only design of previous generations. For the first time ever, the NT1 mic comes in limited-edition colors: red, pink, purple, blue and green, as well as black.

Furthermore, Signature mics feature Røde’s HF6 large-diaphragm (1-inch) condenser capsule, engineered to sub-micron tolerances. It also offers a tight cardioid polar pattern for background noise rejection. Complementing this is a smooth frequency response and high sensitivity for balance and clarity with low noise (4dBA). Plus, high SPL handling capabilities capture very loud sounds.

Moreover, the NT1 Signature series offers the same warm, silky character of previous NT1 microphones. Its HF6 capsule helps ensure consistency in tonality and frequency response. And it is internally shock-mounted for minimizing vibrations. Consequently, the mic is said to deliver rich, warm bass, a detailed midrange and “sparkling”  top end. Thus, it is an ideal vocal mic. It also performs in a range of studio applications, from recording acoustic guitar, percussion and other acoustic instruments, to drums, electric guitar and piano.

Its tight cardioid polar pattern also offers rejection of background noise. Moreover, enhanced circuitry delivers high SPL handling capabilities for flexibility in the studio and a low self-noise of 4dBA.
