Irvine, CA—Insta360 introduced the latest iteration of its tiny action camera, the Insta360 GO 3. Tiny but mighty, the GO 3 builds on the ultra-portability of its predecessor and adds a flip-screen Action Pod accessory as well as longer battery life.
The camera comes in smaller than thumb size and weighs in at 1.2 ounces. Moreover, its magnetic body allows you to mount it anywhere, to capture unique shots from creative angles. Further, Insta360’s new Action Pod is the action cam’s shooting companion. It transforms the GO 3 into a more versatile camera.
Using the Action Pod’s flip touchscreen, you can control the camera remotely and preview shots even when the GO 3 is mounted in hard-to-reach locations. The Action Pod also acts as an additional power source to enable shooting for up to 170 minutes.

Key Insta360 GO 3 Features
Insta360 made recording on the go as simple as pressing the front of the camera body, thanks to QuickCapture. In addition, the camera’s lightweight, low-profile design also means it’s easy to take along on a day’s outing. And the camera will capture any perspective in 2.7K, which is perfect for social media sharing.
Furthermore, the GO 3 comes with a set of magnetic accessories to help unlock its creative potential. First, its circular magnet can be worn around the neck, sitting beneath clothing. Consequently, it allows you to wear the GO 3 on the chest for first-person PoV filming. Second, its “easy clip” accessory is for use with hats. It holds the camera above the head for a hands-free, high-angle shot. Third, there is a pivot stand with a reusable sticky mount and an adjustable design that enables shooting at tricky angles. The stand also unscrews to reveal a ¼-inch mounting point for attaching to a selfie stick or tripod.
Insta360 Action Pod
Completely new, the Action Pod is an all-in-one hub that is a housing, remote control as well as charger for the GO 3. With a 2.2-inch flip touchscreen, the Action Pod connects to the GO 3 via Bluetooth for real-time remote control and live preview.
In addition, it allows the framing of difficult angles. Plus, the Action Pod and the camera are compatible with the same magnetic mounts. In addition, if you run low on power, you can place the GO 3 into the Action Pod, attaching it to the same mount, and continue shooting.
Moreover, Insta360 developed an IPX4 water-resistant design for the Pod and an IPX8 waterproofing to 16 feet for the GO 3 camera. Improvements & Upgrades
The Insta360 GO 3 also addresses the pain points of the GO series, bringing enhancements to the new generation of tiny cameras. Software optimizations and a resolution upgrade to 2.7K deliver crisper, more vibrant videos. With no clip length limitations as well as a larger 310mAh battery, you can keep shooting for up to 45 minutes without the Pod. That’s a 50% increase from the previous generation.
Plus, sporting an additional mic, the GO 3’s dual microphones offer clearer audio than its predecessor. Voice Control 2.0 also comes with this upgrade, allowing for hands-free operation of the camera.
New recording modes are also provided. They include prerecording, loop recording and timed capture. With the timed capture function, you can schedule the GO 3 to power on and start recording at a specific time.

As with all Insta360 cameras, the GO 3 is backed up by Insta360’s app and editing ecosystem. For instance, FreeFrame mode enables you to modify the aspect ratio of your footage after shooting. As a result, you can edit the same clip for a 9:16 Instagram Reel and a 16:9 YouTube video.
In addition, Insta360’s AI-powered editing features automatically curate your best clips and edit them into custom reels. The app’s intelligent features and user interface let you focus on your creativity. There’s also a host of creative modes: TimeShift for hyperlapse montages; AI-powered PureShot HDR for photos with enhanced dynamic range; slow motion up to 120 frames per sec; as well as timelapse recording.
