Seattle, WA—YI Technology released its YI 4K+ action camera, which will be initially available on YITechnology.com, Amazon.com and Aliexpress.com. The company is marketing the YI 4K+ as the first action camera to capture 4K video at 60 frames per second (fps).

Based on the previous YI 4K cam, the new 4K+ action camera features upgrades. In addition to doubling the frame rate of its predecessor, the YI 4K+ is the first camera to use an Ambarella H2 SoC processor. The processor provides a maximum bit rate of 120 Mbps. It also permits the camera to consume extremely low power to maintain battery life (approximately 71 minutes for 4K 60-fps video). In addition, the camera employs electronic image stabilization support for 4K/30-fps video and outdoor audio.
YI 4K+ Accessories
The YI 4K+ action camera is backward compatible with all of the current YI 4K accessories. These include a waterproof housing and handheld gimbal as well as the newest model, the YI 2 handheld gimbal. The camera comes with a fully reversible USB Type-C connector for faster data transfer as well as external microphone support. The YI 4K+ sells for $339.98 with its waterproof case.
