San Jose, CA—Adobe Systems announced a major update to its Creative Cloud Photography plan with the release of an all-new Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC. The new version is designed to deliver “lightning-fast performance and new tools to edit, enhance, organize and showcase beautiful photos.” Priced at $9.99 per month, Adobe’s photography plan is geared for photographers of every level.

Along with Lightroom CC and Photoshop CC, Adobe Creative Cloud Photography now includes mobile capabilities. Automatically syncing photos with Lightroom CC on the desktop, Lightroom on mobile devices lets users access and edit their entire catalog of photos on iPads and iPhones as well as Android smartphones and tablets.

“Photographers at any level are driven by their passion to capture the perfect shot and make it incredible,” said Winston Hendrickson, vice president of Digital Imaging Products, Adobe. “Whether you shoot with a DSLR or smartphone, the Creative Cloud Photography plan gives everything you need to organize, edit and share amazing photos on mobile, web and desktop—thanks to the imaging power of Lightroom and the magic of Photoshop.”

Adobe believes Creative Cloud Photography is leading the transition from a traditional desktop-based process to a more mobile, connected workflow for digital images. Anchored by this major update to Lightroom CC, Creative Cloud Photography offers editing and photo organization across multiple devices, all powered by Adobe’s imaging technologies. Lightroom CC’s new release includes enhancements for Android devices with DNG RAW file support on compatible Lollipop-enabled devices, providing customers with RAW file post-processing on their Android smartphones and tablets.

Other new features in Lightroom CC include: HDR Merge, which creates natural-looking or surreal images from extremely high-contrast scenes by combining multiple shots with different exposure settings into a single RAW HDR image; Panorama Merge, which captures superwide fields of view and detail by stitching together multiple images to create RAW panorama shots; Performance Improvement & GPU Enhancements that perfect photos up to 10 times faster than before; Facial Recognition that can quickly find and categorize images of family and friends; and Advanced Video Slideshows, which enables the creation of polished slideshows using still images, video and music along with professional effects like pan and zoom. As before, Lightroom enables users to share instantly with social networks such as Facebook, Flickr and Instagram.

In addition to Lightroom CC, the Creative Cloud Photography plan includes Photoshop CC, which is celebrating its 25th birthday this year. Now, thanks to Creative Cloud Photography, photographers have a round-trip editing workflow from Lightroom to Photoshop CC. Users can even cut out and combine photos on their iPhone and iPad with Photoshop Mix, connect to Creative Cloud, then refine their work in Photoshop CC.

Creative Cloud also features creative desktop apps; a growing family of mobile apps that are integrated with the desktop apps and creative assets; expert training; and access to a community where creatives can discover inspiration and opportunity.

Adobe Creative Cloud has approximately four million paid memberships worldwide, and all Photography plan and complete plan members can access the new version of Lightroom CC at no extra charge. The Creative Cloud Photography plan is designed to make onboarding easy, whether a beginner or pro, or whether users have previously worked with Photoshop, Lightroom, Photoshop Elements or Apple Aperture. Adobe provides a library of photography tutorials aimed at all levels.

Adobe’s Creative Cloud Photography plan ($9.99 per month) includes Lightroom CC across desktop, web and mobile, Photoshop CC and Photoshop Mix (for iPhone and iPad).
