Santa Rosa, CA—To offer photographers faster, easier access to their camera gear, the Think Tank SpeedTop cross–body camera bag series debuted.
Think Tank Photo’s SpeedTop camera bags feature a magnetic lid to enable quick, quiet access to gear. Moreover, opening the lid requires only one hand, and it closes securely without zippers.
Regardless of shooting style, SpeedTop cross–body bags are designed to be easy to carry and provide quick access. They are also sized to fit today’s camera systems. In addition, the top lid has a tuck-away security latch for peace of mind when moving through crowded public places.
“As photographers, we know that having fast, easy and oftentimes, quiet access to your camera and gear is critical,” said Doug Murdoch, Think Tank CEO and lead product designer. “It can mean the difference between getting a shot or missing it.”

The series is available in two models. The SpeedTop 10 and SpeedTop 15 are both sized to fit today’s ungripped camera bodies with up to a 24–70mm lens, a flash, an extra lens, as well as small accessories.
Furthermore, a padded, quick-adjusting cross-body strap and belt pass-through stabilize the bag against the body for active situations and added security. In addition, the SpeedTop’s slim profile is ideal for navigating through crowds and tight spaces.
The bags also feature flat bottoms that stand up on surfaces. Additionally, they have a hidden inner pocket to keep small items secure; expandable side pockets; a mesh organizer pocket(s) under the lid; and adjustable dividers.
What’s more, their QuickCam adjustable shoulder strap has cushioned padding. And the belt pass-through integrates with Think Tank modular belts. Other features include a top grab handle, a padded back panel as well as an included seam-sealed rain cover.
Like many Think Tank products, SpeedTop bags are built with abrasion-resistant Cordura fabric. Fabrics are also coated with DWR for inclement weather protection.
