Melville, NY—The Canon imagePrograf Pro-1100 is a professional inkjet photo printer with a 17-inch, large-format design as well as 11-colors plus a “chroma optimizer.” To meet the needs of professional photographers who want to print high-quality photos, the printer adopts the newly developed pigment ink, Lucia Pro II, for long-term preservation.

Increased Print Durability: The printer features higher light and scratch resistance for longer-lasting prints. Canon also reformulated the chroma optimizer to give the surface a clear coat of transparent ink to suppress the bronze phenomena and reduce uneven glossiness. 
The new pigment ink also provides improved scratch resistance. In addition, the glossy/semi-glossy printing surface is slippery and more resistant to scratches. Consequently, prints are easier to handle in framing, packaging, transportation, display and other scenarios where prints could be easily damaged.
Enhanced Color Reproduction & Expanded Media Support: The printer produces deeper blacks, richer colors and sharper images. Moreover, it delivers high contrast and detail with improved black density. It also supports a wider range of media sizes for both borderless and standard prints.
Greener: The imagePrograf Pro-1100 also earned an EPEAT Gold designation, meeting the demanding set of criteria for sustainability leadership in electronics. It also contributes to Canon’s commitment to sustainability by eliminating polystyrene foam in product packing.
