Melville, NY—Canon USA announced that its parent company, Canon Inc., is developing a new addition to its G-series line of premium compact cameras—the PowerShot G3 X. A prototype of the camera was on display at CP+ Camera & Photo Imaging Show 2015, February 12–15 at the Pacifico Yokohama Exhibition Hall in Yokohama, Japan.
While maintaining a compact size, the PowerShot G3 X will incorporate a large, 1.0-inch sensor and a 24–600mm equivalent, 25x optical zoom lens that will provide users with focal lengths from wide angle to telephoto. The camera will also produce images with artistically blurred backgrounds, or bokeh, made possible by its large sensor. usa.canon.com
