Carlstadt, NJ—Argraph, an international supplier of photo-imaging products, introduced EXUS high-tech camera lens filters made in Japan by Marumi Optical Co.  Designed to maximize the performance of advanced DSLRs, EXUS filters provide newly developed features to enhance image quality on both digital and film cameras.

The line consists of two filters—the Circular Polarizer and Lens Protect—in 13 sizes from 37–82mm. Both filters feature a new antistatic low-reflective coating and a patented glass securing system. The EXUS multilayer coating is both antistatic and water and oil repellent, to protect lenses from dust and pollutants while allowing easy cleaning of water spots and fingerprints. Made in Japan, the filters feature wide-angle capability, a satin finish, knurling and included attachable lens caps and filter cases.

EXUS Lens Protect. Made to protect a camera lens from scratches and impact, this clear, transparent filter’s glass is flatter and stronger than conventional filters, with an ultrathin frame design, according to Argraph. Because the entire outer rim of the lens is treated with black ink and features a special frame structure, it boasts surface reflection of less than 0.3%, which does not affect the visible light range. It also incorporates a new antistatic coating to protect the lens from static clinging of dust and dirt, and the filter mount has multiple light-blocking ridges to eliminate flaring and ghosting caused by diffusion. $30.95–$76.95.

EXUS Circular Polarizer. Engineered to enhance color contrast purity and saturation by suppressing the subject’s surface reflection, this filter provides “exceptional light transmission to make colors in the viewfinder appear brighter with more contrast, allowing easier viewing and faster, more accurate autofocus,” notes Argraph. The company says it transmits 30% more light than conventional polarizers. Additionally, the EXUS antistatic multi-coating protects the lens from static clinging of dust and dirt while allowing easy cleaning of water spots and fingerprints, making the EXUS Circular Polarizers geared for shooting outdoors. Plus, because the entire outer rim of the lens is treated with black ink and has a special frame structure, the filter is said to achieve ultra-low reflection of less than 0.6%. It also features Teflon-coated male threads to make attaching and detaching the filter from the camera lens easy. $77.95–$178.95. argraph.com
