This camera employs a 24-megapixel APS-C-format CMOS sensor. Also featured is an optical viewfinder with a 45-point all-cross-type AF system that locks on a subject to ensure sharp focus. In addition, it has a new 220,000-pixel autoexposure sensor and EOS iTR autofocus for face detection during viewfinder shooting. Its Dual Pixel CMOS AF technology also enables eye detection during live view.
