Redmond, WA—Hasselblad is carrying out special events around the world in conjunction with this year’s Masters Program finalists.
This year’s 110 finalists of the Hasselblad Masters Program were chosen from more than 2,500 applicants to be eligible for the prestigious title of Master. Entries from the finalists are online and the public is encouraged to vote for their favorite images. Voting is open through October 31, 2011 at hasselblad.com/masters/masters-finalists.aspx, and winners will be announced in January 2012.
Acknowledging the international flavor of the Masters Program, Hasselblad will present a series of Master Studiodays celebrating this year’s finalists in major cities around the world, with the Masters Finalists 2012 tour beginning in London this September and continuing on to Los Angeles, New York City and Berlin. Photographers, creatives and anyone interested in photography and the arts are invited to attend these free events.
The Masters Studioday will kick off at 11:00 a.m. with a variety of activities. Attendees will have a chance to experience the H4D camera system and accessories in a hands-on fashion shoot alongside former Masters winners, and to explore the latest products and technology from Hasselblad Masters Partners, which include broncolor, Epson and SanDisk. There will be opportunities to shoot, exchange ideas and experiences and learn from the best in the business throughout this Masters Studioday.
Following the day’s activities, participants are invited to unwind with drinks, hors d’oeuvres and music at the Masters Finalists social evening. The event will offer the chance to visit with friends and colleagues, talk shop with Hasselblad representatives and meet current Masters finalists and past Masters winners. A select choice of this year’s Hasselblad Masters Finalists images will also be presented.
The Hasselblad Masters Finalists 2012 tour will visit: London, September 22, 2011 at the Hasselblad Studio; Los Angeles, October 13, 2011 at Siren Studios; New York City, October 27, 2011 as part of Shoot-NYC at The Terminal; and Berlin, November 17, 2011 at Delight Studios.
Each event and session is open and free to anyone. To register, on a first-come, first-served basis, visit hasselbladmasters.com.
